9月17日，由四川省卫生健康委员会、“学习强国”四川学习平台主办，四川省卫生健康宣传教育中心、四川省卫生健康委员会国际交流中心承办，四川大学华西医院协办的2026年《健康大讲堂》第三讲“仁心越山海·万里共此心”——四川省派遣援外医疗队50周年活动在成都举行。国家卫生健康委国际合作司非洲处（援外处）处长顾志强，四川省卫生健康委党组书记、主任邓正权，中共四川省委统战部副部长万群，中共四川省委宣传部二级巡视员游承陆，四川新传媒集团党委委员、总编辑，“学习强国”四川学习平台总编辑方埜等出席活动。

On September 17, the third lecture in the 2026 Health Lectures series, based around the theme of “Benevolence Bridging Mountains and Seas, Hearts United across Thousands of Miles”, took place in Chengdu as a special event commemorating the 50th anniversary of Sichuan Province’s overseas medical aid teams. The lecture was hosted by the Health Commission of Sichuan Province and the “xuexi.cn” Sichuan Learning Platform, organized by the Sichuan Education Center for Health Publicity and the International Exchange Center of the Health Commission of Sichuan Province, and co-organized by West China Hospital, Sichuan University. Guests in attendance included Gu Zhiqiang, Director of the Africa Division (Foreign Aid Division) under the Department of International Cooperation of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China; Deng Zhengquan, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Director General of the Health Commission of Sichuan Province; Wan Qun, Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee; You Chenglu, Director General Level Officer (Grade ll) of the Publicity Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee; and Fang Ye, Member of the CPC Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Sichuan New Media Group, as well as Editor-in-Chief of the “xuexi.cn” Sichuan Learning Platform.

本讲活动作为四川省派遣援外医疗队50周年特别策划，以“仁心越山海·万里共此心”主题，围绕《拓荒·初心启程》《守护·仁心无界》《回声·山海情深》《传承·薪火接力》四个篇章，通过邀请老中青三代援外医疗队队员及其家属、受援国代表，回顾四川援外医疗50年历程，展现四川援外医疗从“输血式帮扶”迈向“造血式共建”的实践成果，诠释中国医疗队精神的传承与延续。

As a specially planned event marking the 50th anniversary of Sichuan’s overseas medical aid teams, this lecture took as its theme “Benevolence Bridging Mountains and Seas, Hearts United across Thousands of Miles.” It was structured into four chapters: “Pioneers: The Journey Begins with Original Aspiration,” “Guardians: Boundless Benevolence,” “Echoes: Deep Bonds across Mountains and Seas,” and “Inheritance: Passing Down Kindness.” The lecture invited members of medical aid teams spanning three generations (veteran, mid-career, and young), along with their families and representatives from recipient countries. Together, they reviewed Sichuan’s 50-year journey in overseas medical aid, highlighted the province’s transition from direct aid-style assistance to self-reliant development partnership, and illustrated the enduring inheritance and continuation of the Chinese medical aid team spirit.

拓荒：一箱山海旧物 两代医者薪传

Pioneers: A Suitcase of Cross-Border Memories, Two Generations of Physicians Passing Down Kindness

第一篇章聚焦援外事业起点，情景短剧《行李箱里的世界》讲述第3批援莫桑比克中国医疗队队员陈茂愚带回皮箱，在幼子陈康心底埋下援外行医理想的动人故事。

Chapter One focused on the origins of the overseas medical aid mission. The skit “The World Inside a Suitcase” illustrated the travels of Chen Maoyu, a member of the third Chinese medical aid team to Mozambique. After completing his mission, Chen Maoyu brought back a leather suitcase which inspired the dream of practicing medicine abroad in his young son, Chen Kang.

第20批援几内亚比绍队员、遂宁市中心医院超声科副主任医师陈康登台分享。40余年前，他的父亲陈茂愚曾独守当地儿科50张病床；如今，陈康追随父辈足迹远赴几内亚比绍，完成2000余例超声检查，服务群众4200余人次。现场还举行“薪火相传”致敬仪式，年轻一代援外医疗队员向老一辈援外队员代表献花，致敬援外医疗事业的薪火相传。

Chen Kang, Deputy Chief Physician at the Ultrasound Medicine Department of Suining Central Hospital and a member of the 20th medical aid team to Guinea-Bissau, took the stage to share his experiences. Over 40 years ago, his father, Chen Maoyu, had solely managed 50 pediatric beds in the region. Today, following in his father’s footsteps, Chen Kang has traveled to Guinea-Bissau, where he has performed over 2,000 ultrasound examinations and provided care for more than 4,200 patients. The event also featured a “Passing Down Kindness” tribute ceremony, during which the younger generation of medical aid team members presented flowers to representatives of the veteran teams, honoring the enduring legacy of Sichuan’s medical aid mission.

An Island Has Been Cared for 40 Years in Succession to Safeguard Lives

第21批援佛得角医疗队队长、四川省人民医院神经内科副主任医师李素萍携国家级荣誉勋章登台，分享成功实现当地ICU独立长效运转的援外经历，她表示，这份荣誉属于40余年前赴后继的每一位援佛队员。

Li Suping, Head of the 21st medical aid team to Cape Verde and Deputy Chief Physician at the Neurology Department of Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital, presented her national-level honorary medal on the stage and shared her successful efforts to aid Cape Verde in establishing and sustaining the independent, long-term operation of the local ICUs. Li Suping noted that this honor belongs to every member of past medical aid teams to Cape Verde who have carried on the mission over the past 40 years.

一脉武医  万千非洲岐黄门生

A Shared Heritage of Medical Martial Art Nurtures Thousands of Apprentices across Africa

第17批援几内亚比绍医疗队队员、省级非遗缠闭武医代表性传承人彭程分享了“五个一”目标（学好一门语言、为一万人次当地患者诊疗服务、交一批非洲朋友、带一批徒弟、教会当地朋友一套中国拳）和“洋徒弟”费列西的故事，将中医推拿、中文和太极带到非洲。他表示，援外医疗不仅是治病救人，也是促进中外文明交流互鉴的桥梁。

Peng Cheng, a member of the 17th medical aid team to Guinea-Bissau and a representative inheritor of the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage of Chanbi Wuyi martial arts-infused medicine, shared his “Five Ones” goal (learning one language, providing consultation and treatment for one group of 10,000 local patients, making one circle of African friends, mentoring one group of apprentices, and teaching local friends one set of Chinese martial arts routines) and the story of his “foreign apprentice,” Felice. Peng Cheng introduced traditional Chinese medicine massage, the Chinese language, and Tai Chi to Africa. According to him, medical aid is not only about healing the sick and saving lives, but also serves as a bridge for promoting exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.

Three Tours of Service, One Family United in Heart

情景短剧《第三次，我还是拦不住你》，真实还原了四川省第四人民医院胸外科主任医师向毅第三次报名援外时与家人的故事。一封《写给三次出征的你》家书，以及与远在佛得角执行任务的向毅现场连线，展现援外队员背后家人的理解、支持与坚守。

The skit titled “This Third Time, I Still Can’t Stop You” vividly portrayed the family story of Xiang Yi, Chief Physician at Thoracic Surgery of the Fourth People’s Hospital of Sichuan Province, when he volunteered for his third mission abroad. Through a family letter, “To You, on Your Third Tour” and a live call with Xiang Yi himself in Cape Verde, the performance revealed the profound understanding, quiet support, and unwavering strength from the families of medical aid team members.

Echoes: Heartfelt and Sincere Gratitude, Friendships across Thousands of Miles

第三篇章聚焦民心相通的跨国友谊。第17批援莫桑比克、第2批援安哥拉中国医疗队队员卢霞分享两次赴非经历。从临床医生转型为葡语翻译，她讲述了患者康复后珍藏与中国医疗队合影，以及安哥拉帐篷手术、东帝汶危难留守、莫桑比克紧急救护献血等故事。

Chapter Three centered on the transnational friendships between Chinese medical aid team members and overseas patients. Lu Xia, a member of both the 17th medical aid team to Mozambique and the 2nd medical aid team to Angola, shared her experiences from the two missions. Transitioning from a clinical physician to a Portuguese-language interpreter, Lu Xia recounted touching stories: patients who treasured their photos with the Chinese medical aid team after recovering; surgeries performed in tents in Angola; her steadfast commitment during a crisis in Timor-Leste; and emergency rescues that involved donating blood in Mozambique.

The short film “Gratitude from the Globe,” which brings together messages of thanks and well-wishes from people in dozens of receipt countries, showcased the trust and acclaim that Sichuan’s overseas medical aid efforts have garnered over the past 50 years.

Inheritance: Youth Bearing the Torch, Sustaining the Five-Decade Journey

第四篇章聚焦新生代援外力量与长效共建模式，展现四川援外事业未来发展路径。

Chapter Four focused on the new generation of overseas medical aid personnel and the long-term co-construction model, showcasing the future development path of Sichuan’s overseas medical aid initiatives.

90后援莫桑比克中国医疗队队员、眉山市中医医院副主任中医师徐梦茜分享援非455天的经历，期间完成6000余次针灸诊疗，并落地谢氏正骨工作室。她表示，青年一代将接稳援外医疗的接力棒，让这份使命持续向前。

Born in the 1990s, Xu Mengxi, a member of the Chinese medical aid team to Mozambique and Associate Chief Physician of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) at Chinese Traditional Medicine Hospital of Meishan, shared her 455-day experience of medical assistance in Africa. During her mission, Xu performed over 6,000 acupuncture treatments and set up the Xie’s bone-setting workshop. She stated that the younger generation would take up the baton of overseas medical aid and carry forward this mission.

援圣多美和普林西比中国医疗队队长、四川大学华西医院胃肠外科教授陈亿介绍了华西-圣普国际网络医院建设成果。新冠疫情期间，因航线中断，医疗队主动延期留守8个月，并参与设计当地首座方舱医院。

Chen Yi, Head of the Chinese medical aid team to Sao Tome and Principe and Professor at Gastrointestinal Surgery of West China Hospital, Sichuan University, introduced the achievements in developing the International Online Hospital jointly by West China Hospital, Sichuan University, and Hospital Dr. Ayres de Menezes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, owing to flight disruptions, the medical aid team voluntarily extended their stay by 8 months and participated in the design of the country’s first makeshift hospital.

现场，澳门仁伯爵综合医院眼科医生金宏表示深受援外医疗故事触动，希望未来加入援外队伍，携手推动卫生健康领域国际合作。

At the event, Jin Hong, an ophthalmologist at Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário (CHCSJ) in Macau, noted he was deeply touched by the stories of overseas medical aid and intended to join the overseas medical aid team in the future to jointly promote international cooperation in the field of public health.

活动尾声歌伴舞《We are the world》上演，四川省派遣援外医疗队员代表和几内亚比绍来川培训班学员代表携手走上舞台，大屏定格于“50年·从四川到世界”主题标识。

Towards the end of the event, a song-and-dance performance of “We Are the World” was staged. Representatives of dispatched overseas medical aid team members from Sichuan and trainees from Guinea-Bissau attending a training program in Sichuan stepped onto the stage hand in hand, with the large screen freezing on the theme logo “50 Years: From Sichuan to the World.”

50年来，四川累计向莫桑比克、阿联酋、佛得角、圣多美和普林西比、几内亚比绍、瓦努阿图、东帝汶、瑙鲁、安哥拉、柬埔寨等10个国家派遣援外医疗队98批1136人次，诊治患者超700万人次，完成门诊诊疗113万人次、各类手术34万台，开展巡诊2800余次。

Over the past 50 years, 98 overseas medical aid teams comprising 1,136 personnel from Sichuan have been dispatched to 10 countries, including Mozambique, the United Arab Emirates, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea-Bissau, Vanuatu, Timor-Leste, Nauru, Angola, and Cambodia. Remarkably, these teams have treated over 7 million patients, conducted 1.13 million outpatient consultations, performed 340,000 surgeries of various types, and carried out more than 2,800 rounds of medical visits.

从四川到世界，一代代四川援外医疗队员用仁心仁术诠释了“不畏艰苦、甘于奉献、救死扶伤、大爱无疆”的中国医疗队精神。站在五十年新起点，四川省卫健系统将持续深化国际医疗合作、中医药海外传播和卫生人才共建，为构建人类卫生健康共同体贡献四川力量。

From Sichuan to the world, generations of Sichuan overseas medical aid practitioners have fully embodied the spirit of the Chinese medical aid team — fearless of hardship, dedicated to contribution, committed to rescuing the dying and healing the wounded, and embracing boundless benevolence — through their benevolence and medical expertise. Standing at a new starting point of the 50year journey, Sichuan’s health system will further deepen international medical cooperation, promote overseas dissemination of TCM, and boost joint development of health talents, so as to contribute Sichuan’s strength to building a global community of health for mankind.

活动现场，援外医疗队员及相关代表分享了参与活动的感受。攀枝花市中心医院骨科何忠成表示，作为曾赴佛得角的援外队员，他再次感受到援外使命的召唤，并现场递交《请战书》，希望再次奔赴海外一线；第18批援圣多美和普林西比中国医疗队队员杨波则分享了援外期间家人默默承担家庭责任的经历，向所有援外队员背后的家属致谢。

At the venue, overseas medical aid team members and relevant representatives shared their sentiments about the event. He Zhongcheng, an orthopedist at Panzhihua Central Hospital and a former member of the Chinese medical aid team to Cape Verde, expressed that he once again felt the calling of the overseas medical aid mission. Therefore, he submitted a “Volunteer Mission Application” on the spot, expressing his willingness to serve overseas on the frontlines once again. In addition, Yang Bo, a member of the 18th Chinese medical aid team to Sao Tome and Principe, shared how his family silently shouldered all household responsibilities during his overseas mission, while paying tribute to the families behind all overseas medical aid practitioners.

省委外办代表、省卫生健康在家委领导，省中医药局、省疾控局主要领导，委（局）相关处室，各市（州）卫生健康委，国家委在川医疗机构、部分委（局）直属单位和援外医疗机构的负责同志，四川省援外医疗队代表，全省卫生健康系统县处级领导干部进修班学员，以及部分在蓉医疗机构的观众代表，还有来自澳门特别行政区的医务人员代表和在川进修交流的几内亚比绍医院管理研修班学员共计350余人参加现场活动。

Attendees at the on-site event included representatives from the Office of ‌Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, leading officials of the Health Commission of Sichuan Province, principal leaders of the Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, staff from relevant departments of the commissions and bureaus, health commission officials of Sichuan’s cities and prefectures, persons-in-charge of national medical institutions stationed in Sichuan and affiliated with the National Health Commission, selected institutions directly under the commissions and bureaus, and overseas medical aid institutions, representatives of Sichuan’s medical aid teams, participants of the training course for county- and division-level leading cadres in the provincial health system, audience representatives from medical institutions based in Chengdu, medical professionals from the Macao Special Administrative Region, and trainees of the Guinea-Bissau hospital management training program in Sichuan, totaling more than 350 participants.
