Divided by mountains and seas yet united by blood, youth from across the Strait embark on a shared journey. From July 26 to 31, the Taiwan Youth "Reading Cultural Sichuan" event takes place. Forty Taiwanese youth—comprising students, cultural professionals, journalists, and corporate representatives—will cross the Strait. Bound by kinship and bridged by communication, they will embark on an engaging, profound, and deeply moving journey of cultural root-seeking and heart-to-heart dialogue.

The meticulously designed itinerary weaves together natural wonders and cultural treasures, blending on-site exploration with immersive experiences. From the artistic corridors of millennium-old stone carvings to the magnificent landscapes of dual World Heritage sites, and from idyllic countryside fields to bustling modern metropolises, a vivid and vibrant tapestry of Sichuan will slowly unfold before the Taiwanese guests.

During the event, participants will marvel at the majesty of the Leshan Giant Buddha and the scenic beauty of Mount Emei, while savoring the authentic, spicy flavors of Sichuan cuisine. Furthermore, they will actively engage in cross-Strait folk art exchanges, traditional Chinese painting exhibitions, salon dialogues, and interactive experiences featuring intangible cultural heritage. Through the harmonious blend of strength and grace in Emei martial arts, and the living heritage of Sichuan tea and opera, youth from both sides will immerse themselves in the unique charm of the "Beautiful Land of Abundance, Leisurely Sichuan." This cultural resonance will deepen their shared appreciation for the roots of Chinese culture.

The itinerary also features special visits to prominent cultural and tourism landmarks. From the digital showcases of exquisite oriental carvings at the Anyue Grottoes in Ziyang to the adorable national treasures at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding; from the fragrant, ancient tea trails of Mengding Mountain in Ya'an City to the awe-inspiring World Heritage wonder of the Leshan Giant Buddha—every step reveals a story, and every brick and tile evokes a sense of shared nostalgia.

This event is more than just a tour of the Bashu landscapes; it is an exploration of the Chinese cultural lineage. In this "walking classroom," Taiwanese youth will delve into the historical footprints and cultural fabric of Sichuan, gaining a profound understanding of the shared roots, origins, and cultural gene that bind both sides of the Strait. Looking ahead, we hope more Taiwanese youth will set foot on this land in person, deepening mutual understanding through sincere communication, becoming bridges that connect the two sides, and injecting youthful energy into the integrated development of cross-Strait relations.
