The Yi Torch Festival, a nationally representative intangible cultural heritage project, is also the most recognizable and influential cultural tourism IP in Daliangshan. The 2026 Torch Festival will kick off on July 19, with an innovative "6+N" activity model—98 distinctive cultural tourism events will be held across all 17 counties (cities) of the prefecture, comprehensively polishing the "Colorful Liangshan · Summer Coolness" cultural tourism brand.

This year's Torch Festival features six major signature events carefully prepared by Liangshan, covering six dimensions: torch folk customs, mountain and water scenery, trendy music waves, fiery cuisine, citywide celebrations, and cultural galas. Each layer builds upon the last, offering a rich array of highlights and presenting visitors with an immersive, high-quality, and diverse cultural tourism extravaganza.

The major events include:

• Torch Folk Customs Opening Ceremonies – Experience the most dazzling ethnic flair (Puge, July 19–21; Butuo, July 21–25)

• Daliangshan Costume, Dance & Song Showcase – Folk customs performed amidst cool mountains and clear waters (August 4, Yuexi County)

• Mountain Echo Music Festival – Unlock a new trendy carnival experience (August 6–7, Xingyue Lake Park, Xichang)

• 2026 Daliangshan Barbecue Carnival – Savor the vibrant local flavors of Liangshan (August 6–12, across 17 counties/cities)

• Xichang Torch Carnival Night – City Venue – Join the grand gathering of ten thousand revelers (August 8, Xichang Aerospace Avenue)
