On July 10, the 2025 "Embrace China – Seeking Roots Tour" Summer Camp (Sichuan Session) officially concluded in Chengdu. The event was hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and co-organized by Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Federation and the Sichuan Overseas Chinese Affairs Office.

7月10日，由中国侨联主办，四川省侨联、四川省侨办承办的2025“亲情中华·中国寻根之旅”夏令营——四川营活动在成都闭幕。

Spanning 10 days, the summer camp brought together 380 students and group leaders from 27 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Germany, and Nepal. Traveling through culturally rich cities such as Chengdu, Deyang, Zigong, Leshan, and Meishan, the participants engaged in in-depth explorations around themes like the origins of Chinese civilization, intangible cultural heritage, and ecological preservation.

本次夏令营活动历时10天，来自美国、加拿大、德国、尼泊尔等27个国家和地区的380名营员和领队老师齐聚四川，先后走进成都、德阳、自贡、乐山、眉山等历史文化名城，围绕中华文明探源、非遗技艺传承、自然生态保护等主题展开深度体验。

A key highlight of this year’s camp was 2025 "Embrace China – Seeking Roots Tour" Inspiration Global Photographer Video Competition. The contest received more than 40 short video submissions. Following professional evaluation, 2 videos were awarded first prize, 5 received second prize, and 10 were honored with third prize. Using the medium of short video, the young creators captured their unique journeys in Sichuan—showcasing cultural icons such as Sichuan cuisine, intangible heritage craftsmanship, pandas, and ancient Shu civilization.

作为本次夏令营的重要组成部分，2025“亲情中华·中国寻根之旅”灵感中国全球拍客短视频大赛圆满落幕。本次活动共征集短视频作品40余件，经专业评委评审，最终2件作品斩获一等奖，5件作品荣获二等奖，10件作品获得三等奖。创作者们以短视频为载体，通过四川美食、非遗传承、熊猫及古蜀文明等文化符号，记录了他们专属的四川寻根之旅。

“I can’t wait to take my video back to Nepal and share the cuteness of pandas and the mystery of Sanxingdui with more people,” said Li Shixuan from Nepal, whose video “Rooted in Sichuan, Reaching for the Light” won first prize. His words echoed the shared aspiration of young overseas Chinese participants to tell China’s story through their lens.

“我要带着作品回尼泊尔，让更多人看见大熊猫的可爱，读懂三星堆的千年密码！” 来自尼泊尔的李世宣难掩激动，道出了全球华裔青少年希望借镜头讲述中国故事的共同心声，其作品《以蜀为壤，寻根向光》摘得一等奖。

All award-winning videos will be featured via the overseas social media matrix of Sichuan International Communication Center (including platforms such as X and Instagram) starting today. From the homeland of Giant Pandas beneath snow-capped mountains to the civilizational dialogue beside the Bronzen Trees, these visual stories will offer the world a fresh window into Sichuan’s cultural richness. This extends both the warmth of “roots-seeking” and the reach of cultural connection on the global stage.

据悉，所有获奖作品即日起将通过四川国际传播中心海外社交媒体矩阵（含X、Instagram等平台）全球展播。从雪山下的国宝家园到青铜神树旁的文明对话，这些影像将成为世界感知四川文化魅力的新窗口，让 “寻根” 的温度与 “传情” 的广度在国际舞台持续延伸。
