2024 China International Bamboo Industry Fair opened in Qingshen, Meishan

    On November 11, the 2024 China International Bamboo Industry Fair with the theme of "Bamboo Connects the World, Bamboo Shapes a Better Future" opened in Meishan City, SW China's Sichuan Province.

    The Fair is jointly sponsored by the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization, the China Light Industry and Handicraft Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, and the China Bamboo Industry Association, and hosted by the Meishan Municipal People's Government. More than 900 domestic and foreign government guests, experts and scholars, professional buyers, exhibitors, etc. were invited to attend the conference to jointly explore the development of the bamboo industry.

    The Fair lasts for 3 days, with a total exhibition area of about 13,000 square meters. It is divided into online and offline exhibition areas. The offline exhibition areas include more than 10 types of exhibition areas, such as "bamboo replacing plastic exhibition" area, intangible cultural heritage exhibition area, green bamboo food exhibition area, new bamboo materials exhibition area, and live streaming exhibition area. It displays more than 10,000 products from the entire bamboo industry chain in 7 categories, including bamboo intangible cultural heritage, bamboo furniture, and bamboo food, and attracts 260 companies from Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan and other places to participate in the exhibition.

    Since 2018, Qingshen, Meishan, has successfully held five International Bamboo Industry Fairs, inviting more than 6,000 merchants from more than 70 countries and regions. During this bamboo fair, seminars, promotion meetings, youth salons and other activities will be held around themes such as green and low-carbon development of the bamboo industry and overseas market expansion, to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the bamboo industry and contribute Meishan's strength to the development of the "bamboo replacing plastic" industry.
