Sichuan Province vows for comprehensively deepen reforms in all aspects

The press conference of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee was held in China’s Chengdu on 21^st Sep., 2024, ensuing the successful opening of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 12^th CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee on 20^th Sep., 2024.

The main goals of the plenary session were to focus on deepening reforms in economic, political, cultural, social, ecological and Party building fields

The press conference appraised the successful holding of the session, as well as attaching great attention to the province’s determination for comprehensively deepen reforms, especially on economic reforms. It emphasized the need to make breakthroughs in leading reforms such as stimulating the vitality of business entities, integrating urban and rural development, and expanding opening to the west countries and regions, and clarifying the focus for further deepening the reform of the economic system.

Three dimensions were attached with great attention.

To deepen the reform of state-owned assets and enterprises, optimizing the environment of the private economy, and further stimulate the vitality of operating entities.

To promote the pilot project of new urbanization and launching a new round of citizenization of the agricultural population.

To steadily expand institutional opening up, carry out integrated exploration and expansion of transporting channels in line with international high-standard economic and trade rules, and improve the operational quality of the China-Europe Railway Express and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. Improve the working mechanism for opening up to the outside world, promote the integrated development of trade industries, fully implement the "clearance" requirements for foreign investment access restrictions in the manufacturing industry, and strengthen full-process services for foreign investment in Sichuan.
