The "Impressions of China" 2024 Short Video Showcase ∙ "Explore Jiangsu Tour" unveiled

On Saturday morning, August 3rd, the "Impressions of China" 2024 Short Video Showcase ∙ "Explore Jiangsu Tour" was officially unveiled in the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area.

More than 80 young representatives from countries including the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Indonesia, and Morocco, and regions including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, as well as provinces, cities, and districts across China gathered in Jiangsu. During a week-long exploration of cities including Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Lianyungang, and Yancheng, they will experience the natural scenery, historical culture, and social life of Jiangsu. They will also capture the development stories of Jiangsu through their unique perspectives and innovative expressions. Their videos of Jiangsu will reflect the splendor of China, representing China's progress from the point of view of Jiangsu's development, enabling the world to see an open, inclusive, confident, self-reliant, and vigorous China. 

Tour members have also shared their feelings about their engagement in the event. Leong Ka Kit, a youth from Macao, hoped to connect Macao and Jiangsu more closely through his short videos. Benjamin, a Canadian, showed photos of his family taken in Nanjing during the Spring Festival in 2015 and 2024, and revealed that he would make short videos about high-tech achievements for his students. Zhang Wenfeng, a young woman from Jiangsu wanted to narrate her understanding of the word "harmony" through her lens, while Wang Yu, also from Jiangsu expected to better promote Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, where she is living and working, through her videos.

At the launch ceremony, six tourist locations, including Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, Lianyungang City, Wuxi Huishan High-tech Zone, Changzhou National High-tech District (Xinbei District), Suzhou Wujiang District, and Yancheng Binhai County were awarded "Impressions of China · Beautiful Jiangsu — Top Destinations". Jiangsu is the only province in China that has rivers, lakes, and seas. The "Explore Jiangsu Tour" was also launched at the ceremony by mixing some water collected from the Yangtze River, the Grand Canal, Taihu Lake, Yangcheng Lake, Huai River, and the Yellow Sea.

The short videos will be broadcast and presented on Jiangsu Satellite Channel, Jiangsu International Channel, Jiangsu News Radio, Litchi News, inJiangsu website and App, Lychee TV and NowJelli's overseas social media accounts on YouTube and Facebook, along with media accounts of 11 international communication centers including Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Zhejiang, and Guangdong. 

Since its launch in June, the event has received positive responses from many creators both at home and abroad. So far, more than a thousand excellent works have been received. Next, in late September, the organizing committee will also hold the "Impressions of China" Short Video Announcement & Showcase Ceremony to let the creativity and talent be displayed and recognized. Starting in October, the works will be exhibited on the All-China Journalists Association website and major domestic new media platforms, allowing more people to appreciate the charming elegance shown in "Impressions of China".
