但其实，在早期的《七龙珠》中，很多角色都与中华美食有关。比如，孙悟空的爷爷和儿子的共同名字孙悟饭源自日语中的大米饭(Gohan)；好友乐平(Yamucha)的名字则来自粤语中常用的“饮茶”一词；普尔是取自普洱茶，“小八戒”乌龙的名字则是乌龙茶；在剧场版中，还有排骨饭、奶酪等以美食命名的角色登场。

In fact, in the early days of "Dragon Ball," many characters were related to Chinese cuisine. For example, Son Gohan is derived from the Japanese word for rice (Gohan); Yamcha comes from the Cantonese term for "drinking tea"; Puar is named after Pu'er tea, while Oolong is named after Oolong tea; in the movie, characters like Pikkon (pork rib rice)and Cheese also make appearances, named after food.
