2001年，张家界森林节邀请韩国观光公社社长赵洪奎前来旅游，赵社长不仅被独特的张家界砂岩峰林山景吸引，还对张家界的一句名言“人生不到张家界，百岁岂能称老翁?”印象深刻。随后他将这句话带回了韩国，张家界被打造成“尽孝之旅”，果然痴迷长寿的韩国民众十分买账。

In 2001, the Zhangjiajie Forest Festival invited the President of the Korean National Tourism Organization, Jo Hong-kyu, to visit. He was notonlyattracted by the unique sandstone peaks and forests of Zhangjiajie, butalso deeply impressed by a saying there: "Without visiting Zhangjiajie in one's lifetime, one cannot be considered a real centenarian." He brought this phrase back to Korea, turning Zhangjiajie into a "filial piety tour," and indeed, health-conscious Koreans were captivated.

其实早在上世纪80年代，张家界就是《西游记》的取景地。而直到2009年，电影《阿凡达》上映，再度取景张家界，也带来了一波境外旅游热潮。随后，张家界成为不少综艺常客，韩国综艺节目也曾在张家界取景录制。

As early as the 1980s, Zhangjiajie was a filming location for "Journey to the West." Then, in 2009, the movie "Avatar" featured scenes reminiscent of Zhangjiajie, sparking a wave of overseas tourism. Since then, Zhangjiajie has become a frequent destination for various shows, and Korean TV programs have also filmed there.
