"There arepeople from Australia, New Zealand, and France who found our ZhouJia Dao on the Internet, and cameto visit me inChengdu's Taiping town." Zhou Guangxing, the representative inheritor of the third generation of Zhou Jia Dao forging skills, said he has received many foreigners since the Zhou Jia Dao became popular on the Internet.

Zhou Guangxing's grandfather and fatherwere both blacksmiths. He began to learn to play knives at the age of 16 from his father. Over the past 43 years, he has hammered out countlessgood knives and left many burnscarson his body. Zhou Guangxingdevoted eight years to regain the non-heritage forging skills of the thousand-layer steel knife.

A kitchen knife from the selection of materials to forging and forming, needs to go through dozens or even hundreds of processes. From the town's iron factory to his own in Taiping town, Zhou Guangxing overcame many difficulties, and gradually made the Zhou Jia Daoout of Taiping Town, goinginternational. The forged kniveshavealso transcended oceans to many countries such as France and Australia.

Last year, Zhou Jia Dao was included in the intangible cultural heritage list of Sichuan Province. Zhou Guangxing hopes to make more Zhou Jia Dao to accompany people to enjoy three meals, so that the ancient knife-making skills can be passed down one generation after another.
