中国人写字像画画？汉字怎么就成了方块字？为什么写字成了中国人的一门艺术？走进正在成都博物馆举行的“汉字中国——方正之间的中华文明”特展，汉字这一至今仍在使用的最古老文字系统让外国友人惊奇三连。

Why are Chinese writings like drawings? How did Chinese characters fit into perfect square shapes? Why did writing become an art for the Chinese people? When our foreign friend visited this fantastic exhibition "China in Light of Hanzi: The Splendour of Chinese Civilization in Writing" held at Chengdu Museum, the history of the Chinese characters, one of the oldest continuously used writing systems still in use, has really surprised her.

汉字从哪里来？汉字经历了怎样的发展演变？透过汉字又能看见一个怎样的中国？距今8000多年前的贾湖刻符龟甲、距今3000多年前的殷墟甲骨文、商周金文、秦代小篆、汉代隶书，直到之后的草书、楷书、行书……或许很难再找到这样一种文字，从它发展演变的每一步，都能听见历史的跫音。

Where do Chinese characters come from? How have Chinese characters evolved? What kind of China can be seen through Chinese characters? We got the Jiahu symbols on tortoise shells more than 8,000 years ago, the oracle bones discovered at the Yin Ruins more than 3,000 years ago, the bronze inscriptions of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the small seal script of the Qin Dynasty, the clerical script of Han Dynasty, the cursive script, regular script, and semi-cursive script... It may be challenging to find such writing in the world that can hear the historical sound from every step of its development and evolution.
