“Chengdu Is Prepared!”  

On May 30th, the momentous occasion of the oath-taking ceremony for the 31st FISU World University Games has been unfolded at Chengdu University, located in the Village.

With utmost resolutions, 500 dedicated volunteers of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games enthusiastically declared, "Chengdu is fully prepared!" Recognizing their invaluable contributions, the Executive Committee of the Chengdu 2021 FISU Game proudly bestowed “Little Green Pepper” flags upon the exceptional group of students, symbolizing the momentous transition of 31st FISU World University Games’ volunteer service efforts to the exhilarating final sprint stage of the competition.

Yan Yuchen is one of the volunteers who participated in this oath-taking ceremony and has been a dedicated core volunteer accompanying the growth of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games for the past three years. "I have a crucial role in coordinating with universities to ensure all the athletes can smoothly take part in the sports events. Also, I have to make sure the fully understanding and communication between the universities, the competition and non-competition venues of the 31st FISU World University Games," said Yan. "Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Gameshas witnessed my personal growth in improving my skills, and I have witnessed the journey of its preparations. I consider myself fortunate to have this opportunity to contribute my volunteer service to the grand event. I am also filled with confidence that I am fully prepared for the upcoming 31st FISU World University Games!"

In an exciting update, it has come to light that the preparations for the 31st FISU World University Gameshave reached a pivotal stage, marked by exhilarating final sprints. With great anticipation, a remarkable group of 20,000 volunteers has been enlisted to contribute their invaluable services throughout the Games. These dedicated individuals will be deployed across a multitude of crucial areas, including the bustling competition venues, the Village, the media centre, the important opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the bustling airports and train stations.

To ensure the highest standard services, these volunteers have diligently undergone rigorous training procedures including systematic general training, intensive specialized training, and meticulous pre-job drills. Equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge, they now stand fully prepared and eager to fulfil their duties for the grand event.
