Believe it or not, as the local "bear-cats" in Sichuan, the well-known hometown of the giant pandas, pandas have managed to understand the local language–Sichuan dialect. You might have watched funny videos showing panda breeders calling these furballs, "Yao'er (meaning the youngest son in Sichuanese), where are you?" or "Guaiguai (meaning 'Good Boy'), come! It's dinner time!" It seems like pandas can understand Sichuanese and get along with their nannies and mannies!

Sichuan International Communication Center (SICC) has launched a unique social media platform video challenge, "Call Your Panda.” The challenge invites animal zoos worldwide with giant pandas and panda lovers to join, requiring them to upload videos about playing with pandas using local languages and expressing their blessings for the Chinese new year. Moreover, anyone who once captured videos of cute pandas and their daily life with the breeders, including any adorable moments of pandas, can join the ride and share your stories with us!
