Located at the Southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and on the conjunction of Aba County of Sichuan Province, Jiuzhi County and Banma County of Qinghai Province, Lianbaoyeze is a branch range of Bayan Har Mountains, with the coverage of over 800 square meters. Featured with steep hills and covered with ice and snow, it's like a "stone castle"on the plateau and has become a natural barrier for the northwestern Aba County.

Lianbaoyeze is called the "stone castle"or "stone mountain" by the local people. As a national geology park, it's featured with various geological remains and a great number of lakes. It has become a popular attraction for the travelers and photographers.
