The Kangding Seven-color Sea is located in Mugecuo scenic area at Yala village, Kangding city, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, being honored the No.1 attraction in Mugecuo scenic area.

The reason why it's called "Seven-color Sea" is that the water reflects different colors in different seasons and lights. In summer, it's green in dark or light. In autumn, it shows various fantastic colors. In winter, it's like a fairy tale world under snow.

What's more, its colors change within a day. In the morning, the lake is calm like a mirror reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, high mountains, and white snow. At the noon, the surge billows sound like thunders resounding among the valley. At dusk, the water under the setting sunshine is brilliant as gold.
