In Ganluo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, there is a "color palette" on the hillside. On the gentle slope of more than 300 meters long, the terraces cascade in different colors as the seasons change. This is the Puchang Terraces.
Puchang, meaning "fertile field" in Yi language, has been a granary cultivated by the Yi family for generations.
Generations of farmers have transformed it into the "poetic line on the earth".
Puchang Terraces contains three large areas: Puchang Dam, Ardi Dam, and Shihai Terraces, covering an area of more than 10,000 acres. Every year, at the turn of spring and summer, it is the time to release water for rice planting in the terraces, which is also the best time to see the Puchang terraces. Blue sky, bright green seedlings, red, yellow and black intermingled clay... appear on this land at the same time.
