Danxia landform refers to the red-layered landform characterized by steep cliff slopes.

At the southern edge of the Sichuan basin, a special Danxia landform is developed. Along the river, into the interior of the mountain, brilliant ring-shaped cliffs hidden between layers of forest. Waterfalls fly straight down, forming an enchanting picture.

Some scholars referred to this Danxia landform as the "Red Circle", also known as the Huanya Danxia.

In the borderline area of Mabian Yi Autonomous County of Leshan City and Pingshan County of Yibin City, there are dozens of ring-shaped Danxia. In Rentou Mountain, a watershed on the south side of the upper reaches of the Zhongdu River, the south side of a knife-like ridge that stretches from east to west is continuously developed with 12 large ring-shaped rock walls arranged in a zigzag pattern that stretches for several kilometers.
