Wolong Sea and Shuanglong Sea of Jiuzhaigou Valley is in the transition zone from Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to Sichuan Basin. On August 8, 2017, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Jiuzhaigou Valley, resulting in extensive damage to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area. in September 2021, after four years of post-earthquake restoration, the whole area of Jiuzhaigou scenic area was reopened, and many beautiful sceneries such as Norilang Waterfall, Wuhua Sea and Huohua Sea were restored to their former glory.
