Located at the east of the Three Gorges, west of Jiuzhai Valley, south of Mount Emei, north of Jianmen Pass, Qiqushan National Forest Park has attracted lots of visitors for its cultural landscapes, amazing legends, ancient battlefield heritage, and the historical stories.
There are over 20000 cypresses covering over 700 mu in Qiqushan Great Temple, being the greatest cypress forest in the world. You can find the 2300-year-old ancient "cypress king", as well as the "Jin cypress" which withered in late Ming and early Qing Dynasty but never perish.
Qiqushan has 94% of cypress forest coverage. According to the experts, there're over 90000 negative oxygen ions per cubic muter of air in Qiqushan. Therefore, the cypress forest is honored "air vitamin" and "natural oxygen bar".
