Don＇t be panic when you see a stick is moving in the field, since it may be a stick insect, the "master of disguise". The Insect Museum of West China located in Dujiangyan holds the “longest insect in the world” which is exactly a stick insect looking like a half-meter-high stick.

A stick insect can imitate the pattern, the stick and even the burr in the tree. Therefore, they are called "walking sticks". Besides, they＇re good actors. For example, they swing regularly like the sticks moving with the wind.

Most of the stick insects are dark brown, and a few of them are green or dark green which are easily to be hidden. They can also change their colors according to the environment to hide from their enemies. What’s more, to protect their offspring, their eggs are shaped like the seeds scattered around the grass.
