Crab Spider: The Spiders Walking Like Crabs

    We usually believe that the spiders web to hunt. However, there’s a kind of spiders that don’t web but still an amazing hunter. They are crab spiders.

    As its name suggested, they are related to crabs. Exactly, they do not only look like crabs, but also walk sidewards like crabs. There’re about 170 categories and over 2000 types of crab spiders in the world.

    Another distinctive characteristic of the crab spiders is that they don’t web. When hunting, they would hide amid the flower clusters, pounce on the preys when detecting them, and kill them by stabbing with their feet.
