Caltha Scapose: The Donkey Hoof-like Water-lover

Caltha scapose have donkey hoof-like leaves and lovely small yellow flowers. They can be found in Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province.
Caltha Scapose belongs to Caltha palustris and grows in moist meadows in mountains of 2800-4100 meters or beside the valley. They are distributed in Southeastern Tibet, Northwestern Yunnan Province, Western Sichuan Province, Southern Qinghai Province and Southern Gansu Province.
Unlike other terrestrial plants, Caltha scapose like water. They can still live even being submerged in water.
Caltha scapose can also be used as medicine. In Western Sichuan Province, people use their leaves for arthralgia and myalgia treatment and flowers for wounds. People in Tibet use their leaves to cure knife wounds.
