Red bean trees are originated in the tropical regions of America and can hardly resist the cold. Their branches and leaves will be frozen when the temperature is below minus five degrees. However, they are very strong. Despite the frostbite in the trunks, their roots are not harmed. In the next spring when it turns warm, they will sprout again and grow strings of red flowers.

They are also the national flower of Argentine, representing the brave and persistent women warriors. Therefore, their flower language is "glory".

Another distinctive feature of Red Bean Tree is that they grow leaves after blossom. They are all red in blossom and grow leaves in autumn which fall down in winter. It is said that in their hometown, the ancient farmers rely on them to distinguish the four seasons. That's the reason why they are also called the tree of four seasons.
