There are many species of finches, and the genus Pyrrhula is more common in nature. Most of its body feathers are gray. They are divided into grey-headed bullfinch, Eurasian bullfinch and grey hypocolius because of the different colors of local feathers.

Among them, the head of the grey-headed bullfinch is gray, and the color contrast between the upper and lower parts of the body is relatively distinct, just like the lid and body of a box. The breast and abdomen of the male are dark orange; the lower body and upper back of the female are warm brown, with a black strip on the back.

This small bird wears the "high-class gray" coat given by nature, but it is not arrogant. It is not too timid and not afraid of people. They often inhabit subalpine coniferous forests and mixed broadleaf-conifer forest and live in small groups in winter.
