    The laughingthrushes (Family Leiothrichidae) are singers among the Chinese forest birds, and their melodious cries are enchanting. Among them, the black-faced laughingthrush is unique because of its black hair on the top of its head, as if it is always full of black hair and does not lose hair.

    Like many species of laughingthrushes, the black-faced laughingthrushis good at singing, with a loud and pleasant sound, but it is relatively noisy.

    Among birds, the black-faced laughingthrushis of medium size, with a black forehead, face, and throat, a tan back, and white spots on the back edge of the eyes and side of the neck. Its flight feathers are golden olive with blue-gray tips, and its claws are light tan.
