In the front mountain of Xiling Snow Mountain in Dayi County, Chengdu, there is a village named Feishui Village, named after Feishui Karst Cave. There is a strange tree in the village, with a height of 35.8 meters, a diameter of 2.43 meters at breast height, an average crown width of 23 meters, and an age of about 1,000 years. Locals call it “Dingmu Immortal”.

This strange tree is a Emmenopterys Henryi. For the locals, this tree is already an inseparable part of the memory of their hometown. The elders miss the tree holes they climbed during childhood, and the youth who left their hometown never forget the fragrance of the flowering season. Over the years, this Emmenopterys Henryi has been like a loyal friend, accompanying the people in Feishui Village from generation to generation.

British botanist Ernest Henry Wilson called the Emmenopterys Henryi "one of the most strikingly beautiful trees of Chinese forests" in his book “Flora of West China”. The Emmenopterys Henryi in Feishui Village was also selected into the list of "China's Most Beautiful Ancient Trees" and is one of the "Most Popular Ancient and Famous Trees" in Sichuan Province.
