There is a creature with horns like a deer, hooves like a cow, head like a sheep and tail like a donkey, but it is neither a deer, nor a cow, nor a sheep, nor a donkey. This "nondescript" is the "heavenly horse" recorded in ancient books - Chinese serow.

Even on the steepest rocks, Chinese serows can walk freely and jump as if it were flying. The reason why the "heavenly horse" can "fly in the air" is due to its natural "equipments": good eyesight, excellent sense of balance, secondary hoofs that can grip the ground tightly, main hoofs that can support the weight of the body, andsoft and elastic cuticles on hooves... Therefore, don't imitate the "stunts" of Chinese serows at will.

Despite being able to "fly" freely between the mountains, the Chinese serows are timid. They are usually solitary and very alert to changes in their surroundings. According to the "Species Calendar", Chinese serows are highly stressful and easily dies of fear after being rescued and captured. Therefore, after searching all over the country, only the Huangshan Wildlife Park in Xiuning, Anhui has kept a male Chinese serow rescued at a young age.
