鲜有人知的是，在剑门关大剑山绝顶处，藏着一座千年古刹，名为梁山寺。寺内生长着一株树龄1500年的紫薇，静静地注视着蜀道的兴衰变迁。

Little known is the fact that at the top of Jianmen Pass' Dajian Mountain lies a thousand-year-old Liangshan Temple. Inside the temple grows a 1,500-year-old Crepe-myrtle, quietly watching the rise and fall of the Shu Road.

这株紫薇，树高7.4米，胸径0.68米，平均冠幅10.65米。树干距地面1.5米处分成5枝，朝不同方向生长。穿越千年的风霜雨雪，紫薇的主干已是老态龙钟，枝条却似冰肌玉骨，蜿蜒婀娜。远观如佛祖参禅，近看似石猴眺望。

The 7.4m tree has a diameter at breast height of 0.68m and an average crown spread of 10.65m. The trunk splits into five branches at 1.5 meters from the ground, growing in different directions. It is old and winding after traces of time,but still looking graceful,like a meditating Buddha from a distance, while up close like a stone monkey peering into the distance.

见过大风大浪的紫薇，唯独怕痒痒。因树干对振动十分敏感，只要轻挠它的枝干，枝叶就会颤动，所以被人们形象地称为“痒痒树”。

Their trunk is very sensitive to vibrations, and even lightest scratches can make the leaves tremble, therefore called the "ticklish tree".
