红色“眼影”搭配黄色“围巾”，迎面款款走来的，正是雉中“美妆达人”——黄喉雉(zhì)鹑(chún)，也叫四川雉鹑。

Wearing the red “eye shadow” with the yellow "scarf", it is the "beauty master" of the pheasant, Szechenyi’s montal-partridgel, also called the Sichuan pheasant.

它们主要在林间的地面上行走和奔跑。除危急情况时一般很少起飞。它们夜间多栖息于低的树枝上，除繁殖期多成对或单独活动外，其他时候多呈小群活动。

They mainly walk and run in the forest and seldom fly except in critical situations. At night they roost on low branches and move in small groups, except during the breeding season when they tend to move in pairs or move alone.

它有一副天生的好嗓子，从天蒙蒙亮时就开始唱歌，先是一、二只首先鸣叫，紧接着就是群鸟齐鸣，叫声洪亮、嘈杂，在深山幽谷中传得很远。每当大雾或雨雪即将来临之时，它们的叫声则更加频繁，是当地居民的义务天气预报员。

They start to sing at dawn with their gifted voice. One or two birds sing at first, then all of them sing with a loud voice that travels far in the deep valley. Whenever foggy or rainy or snowy, they sing more frequently and are known as the local residents' weather forecasters.

雉鹑是土生土长的“中国雉”，主要分布在西藏、四川、云南、青海。

Szechenyi’s montal-partridge is endemic to China, mainly distributed in Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Qinghai.
