绵阳市北川羌族自治县永安镇大安村一处舒缓的山坡前，一棵柏木直入云霄，主株高37米，平均冠幅 17 米，胸径 3.28 米——这就是远近闻名的七贤柏。柏树主干离地1.3米高处，分出枝干7根，宛若七个忠诚的部下，由此得名。

In front of a soothing hillside in Da'an Village, Yong'an Town, Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, Mianyang City, a cypress tree goes straight up into the clouds.The main plant is 37 metres high, with an average crown width of 17 metres and a diameter of 3.28 metres at breast height - this is the well-known Seven Sages Cypress, the main trunk of whichis 1.3 metres above the ground and stretchesout into seven branches, resembling seven loyal ministers, hence the name.

据县志记载，七贤柏于隋开皇年间，由蜀王杨秀亲手所植，树龄近1300年，是仅次于陕西黄帝陵古柏的全国第二大古柏。

According to records, the Seven Sages Cypress was planted by Yang Xiu, King of Shu during the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty, and is nearly 1,300 years old, making it the second oldest cypress in the country after the Huangdi Mausoleum in Shaanxi province.

如今，七贤柏似乎已近暮年。2020年，七贤柏被命名为“四川十大树王”，希望它能够在今后得到更多的珍视和爱护。

Now, the seven Cypress seem to be approaching its twilight years. In 2020, Qixian Cypress was named as one of the top Ten Tree Kings in Sichuan, in the hope that it can be cherished and cared for in the future.
