黄鼬，俗名黄鼠狼。俗话说“黄鼠狼给鸡拜年——没安好心”，在农村，鸡不见了常常被认为是黄鼠狼干的。然而，科学家通过大量实验，否定了黄鼠狼“偷鸡贼”的恶名。科学家曾对全国11个省市的近5000只黄鼠狼进行解剖，鉴定它们胃中的残骸发现，其中只有2只黄鼠狼吃了鸡。
