你有被峨眉山的猴子抢夺食物的经历吗?寒冬腊月，白雪皑皑的森林里，突然蹿出一只只古灵精怪的猴子，它们聚集在半山腰，拦在你面前索要食物。你若不给，它们还会耍“流氓”，撕扯你的行囊。

这些猴子是国内最彪悍的一种猕猴——藏酋猴，是我国的特有物种，主要分布于中部和西南部地区。它们是我国体型最大的一种猕猴，体长可达七十多厘米，体重可达18公斤。

Macaca thibetana is one of the fiercest types of monkeys, endemic to China and mainly found in the central and south-western regions. They are one of the largest macaques in China, reaching over 70cm in length and weighing up to 18kg.

凭借着体能优势，这些猴子不仅喜欢欺负其他落单的猴子，而且不怕人，习惯了吃“嗟来之食”。因此，一些动物专家担心，长此以往，生活在峨眉山的藏酋猴会越来越懒惰，生存能力和抵抗力会退化，不利于其繁衍生息，因而呼吁人们减少投食，帮助它们“自食其力”。

With physical strength, these monkeys often bully other monkeys and are not at all afraid of people, and are used to eating "food in contempt". Experts are concerned that in the long run, the Tibetan sheik monkeys on Emei Mountain will become lazier and their ability to survive will deteriorate, which is detrimental to their ability to thrive. Therefore, experts are calling on people to reduce the amount of food they throw at them and help them "feed themselves".

藏酋猴还有很强的集体意识，它们喜欢群居，常常几十上百只组成一个群体，每个群体会有1-3只成年雄猴担当首领。在这个小社会里，等级森严，还有一套独特的社交礼仪。

Macaca thibetana have a strong sense of community, preferring to live in groups of several dozen to a hundred, in which one to three adult males act as leaders. Within this small community, there is a strict hierarchy and a unique set of social rituals.

“理毛”就是其中之一。当一只猴子用手分开另一只猴子的毛发，帮忙清理异物，这其实是一种友好的交流方式，经常发生在具有亲缘关系的个体之间，可以消除彼此的紧张关系，一些地位较低的猴子也会用这种行为去讨好上级。

Grooming is one of them. One monkey parts another's fur with its hand to clean up dirty things, which shows intimacy and can remove tensions, and sometimes they use this behavior to please their superiors.

藏酋猴虽然攻击性较强，但也有舐犊情深的一面。在山林溪水边，冬日暖阳下，有时会看到成年母猴怀抱着一只幼猴，眼神温柔，爱意满满。

Although aggressive and ferocious, they have a lovely side somehow. At the edge of forests and streams, bathed in the warm winter sun, adult females are sometimes looking at their baby with tender, loving eyes.
