after nearly 40 hours of continuous driving,

the convoy carrying 127-ton vegetable

from Dujiangyan, Sichuan

successfully arrived in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.

Along the way,

Shanghai vehicles honked their horns

to thank the team,

and Shanghai citizens took photos of them.

After the May 12 Wenchuan earthquake,

Shanghai helped Dujiangyan rebuild.

“Little help brings much return.”

Today, the people of Dujiangyan

return with 127 tons of vegetables!

Huang Ping, the driver, said, "We drove through the starry night without stopping, thinking of the moving scenes when Shanghai helped Dujiangyan rebuild. We just want to deliver the freshest vegetables to our relatives in Shanghai. Let the people of Shanghai know that the hearts of the two places are always together."

Song Jiandong, a consultant of Shanghai People's Government of Pudong New Area, said, "We are deeply grateful and moved that the people of Dujiangyan have brought us so many fresh vegetables during an important period of epidemic prevention and control in Shanghai. The already profound friendship between the two cities has been strengthened by the joint fight against COVID-19. Next, I hope there will be more communication and cooperation between the two places."

Liu Sencai, head of the warehouse that received the vegetables, said, "After receiving the vegetables, they will be packed at the fastest speed and with the highest efficiency, and the vegetables from Dujiangyan will be distributed to citizens as soon as possible."
