On May 19th, the first event of the Chengdu's "Beautiful" Music Education Season" series, titled May Pastoral Poetry: From Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony to Chengdu People's Pastorale, was held at Kuwen Bookstore in Chengdu with Sichuan International Communication Youth Expert, Ma Yi, as the planner of this Music Education Season.

The keynote speaker, Cui Hongxia, a teacher at the Orchestral Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and a violinist, shared insights on classical music at the event. Having studied in Europe for many years, Cui Hongxia previously worked for 12 years with the "Berlin Philharmonic" - the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra in Germany, where she was the only Chinese musician in the orchestra. With nearly two decades of performing experience overseas, she has returned to Sichuan and is dedicated to nurturing more music talents in China and bringing a more beautiful classical music experience to the public.

The Chengdu's "Beautiful" Music Education Season event is organized by the Southwest Music Research Center of Sichuan Conservatory of Music (a key research base for social sciences in Sichuan Province) and co-hosted by the Social Sciences Federation of Wuhou District, Chengdu, and Kuwen Bookstore. The event is scheduled to take place from May to December this year, with a monthly gathering featuring at least eight performances. The activities will cover various aesthetic forms, including classical music, Chinese ethnic music, modern music, and Chinese court music (yayue). Keynote speakers will include cellist Zhao Mingwei, musicians Zou Xiangping, Helan Ze, Xia Yi, and others.
