《WAVELENGTH：感知边缘》当代艺术展于2022年10月12日在成都时代美术馆开幕。本次展览是十一位/组世界级艺术家及艺术家团队与四川的对话，以“感知”(感觉与知觉)为主题，打造超现实的当代艺术现场，邀请观众感受艺术创造的无限可能，探索从未触及的“感知”边缘。

The opening ceremony of WAVELENGTH：ON THE EDGE OF SENSES, a contemporary art exhibition was held in the Chengdu Times Art Museum on October 12th. Sichuan gathered up 11 (or groups of) world-class artistsin this exhibition themed “Perception & Consciouness”, allowing the audience to enjoy the infinite possibilities of artistic creativity and to touch the boundaries of the unknown “perception & consciousness”.

本次展览的参展艺术家以个体的“感知”为出发点，探索“感觉”与“知觉”在不同视角下的变化和外部条件对感知的影响，以及我们因“感知”而与世界发生的关联。艺术家们在创作中运用多种艺术媒介，以光影、色彩、运动、声音等多种元素展现当今世界人类的感知极限，创造突破“感知边缘”的奇幻艺术现场。

From their own individual senses, the artiststry to explore how“perception”and “consciousness”change when seen in different angles, reacting to outside conditions, and how we connect with the world because of “perception”and “consciousness”. By taking advantage of the artistic media such as light, colors, and sounds, the artists show the limits of senses of humanity, and create a magicalart scene by breaking through the boundaries of our senses.

《WAVELENGTH：感知边缘》由“混沌与掠影”“存在与虚空”“物质与心灵”三个章节组成。展览从寂静的黑与白中开始，在饱和的色彩中延展，在寻常物质构成的精妙装置中达到高潮，并在自然与平和的艺术场景中让观众找到内心的平静。观众的观展过程如同经历人们对世界的感知过程：在模糊与混沌中感受环境与信息，在丰富的信息中认识现实，进而回归自己内心的真实，并触发超越现实的想象力。

WAVELENGTH：ON THE EDGE OF SENSESconsists of 3 chapters, Silhouettes within Chaos, Beings in the Void, Matter and Minds.The exhibition hall starts from works of the silent colors of black and white, extends to artworks in saturated colors, reachesits climax with exquisite gadgets made of normal material, and find its inner peace with the audience in a batch of natural and peaceful works. The process of exploring the exhibition is like experiencing people's perception of the world, which is, to feel the surroundings and information amid ambiguity and chaos, to learn the reality from rich information, to come back to inner self with ones’surreal imagination fired.

作品与周围环境之间充满张力的关系是《WAVELENGTH：感知边缘》营造的“艺术现场”的本质，而观众的感知和反应则是环境中的关键要素。观众在艺术现场获得沉浸式观展体验的同时，也会接收到不同个体之间的体验与互动、情绪与解读对艺术的语境与表象所产生的微妙影响，观众对作品的感知也将因此发生改变。而观众与艺术家的感知也在观展过程中渐渐融合，并共同勾勒出人类的“感知边缘”。这种独特的现场观展体验，也使《WAVELENGTH：感知边缘》成为成都最不容错过的展览之一。

The art works reinforce with the surroundings that WAVELENGTH：ON THE EDGE OF SENSEScreates, which is the essence of this exhibition, and the perception and reaction of the audience is of key importance. While immersively experiencing the arts, one can also feel the subtlechanges led by others’experience, interaction, emotion and interpretation of the art works, which in return change his or her own. The perception and consciouness of both the audience and artists will merge together gradually, and map out the boundary of perception and consciouness of humanity. This, with unique artistic experience, will be one of the most unmissable exhibitions in Chengdu, Sichuan.
