3月29日上午，位于四川德阳广汉的三星堆新馆正式开建。

The construction of the new exibition hallforthe renowned Sanxingdui museum began on 29 Marchin the city of Guanghan, Southwest China's Sichuan province.

三星堆新馆，设计寓意为“堆列三星，古蜀之眼”。这一神秘的“古蜀之眼”是如何设计的?与旧馆相比，三星堆新馆都有哪些新特点、新功能、新体验呢?

新馆与原有一号馆左右呼应

本次设计的“古蜀之眼”——新馆外立面上两个巨大的玻璃窗口，就像三星堆青铜面具中的眼睛一样成为视线交流的核心。设计取意“堆列三星，古蜀之眼”，通过极富表现力的眼睛，仿佛在与观众进行一场穿越时空的对话。 建筑屋顶倾斜延伸，消隐融入场地，与原有一号馆形体左右呼应，建筑形成三个沿中轴排列的覆土堆体——寓意“堆列三星”。

The two huge glass windows on the facade of the new building are like the eyes on the Sanxingdui mask. The new building is adjacent to the original Hall No. 1, forming three buildings standing along the central axis.

展览之外，还集合了

收藏、研究、教育以及社交等功能

新馆共设6个常展厅和3个临展厅，展览面积约1.8万平方米。展厅跨度约15-30米，一层展厅层高8米，二层展厅层高6-12米，通过楼板局部挑空，为灵活布展预留充分的条件 。

The new museum has six regular exhibition halls and three temporary exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of about 18,000 square meters. The span of the exhibition hall is about 15-30 meters, the story height of the hall on the ground floor is 8 meters, and the story height of the hall on the first floor is 6-12 meters.

三星堆老馆规模相对较小，功能也比较单一，很多功能分布在园区其他周边附属房屋中。这次三星堆新馆的设计将对标世界一流博物馆。在展览之外，新馆还集合了收藏、研究、教育以及社交等多元功能。在服务游客的同时，它也将是三星堆学术研究和交流基地，为专业人士提供资料查询、行业交流等综合化服务。

The old building is relatively smaller and has relatively simplefunction. Other functions can only be recovered in the surrounding buildings in the park. The design of the new Sanxingdui Museum will be a world-class museum. In addition to exhibitions, the new building also has multiple functions such as collection, research, education and social interaction. While serving tourists, it will also be the academic research and communication base of Sanxingdui, providing comprehensive services such as data inquiry and industry exchange for professionals.

扩大游客承载量

交通规划更加便捷顺畅

新馆的设计也是对整个三星堆博物馆园区进行全方位提升，新馆规模达5万余平方米，据设计规划，游客承载量将比现在承载量多一倍以上。在交通规划上，突出便捷顺畅。新路右侧的生态停车场，可容纳800辆小汽车和40辆大巴车。

The new building is located in the Sanxingdui Museum Park, with a total floor area of approximately 55,000 square meters -- five times the size of the museum's current buildings. According to the design planning, the carrying capacity of museum will be two times bigger than the current one.

三星堆博物馆新馆的建设，将重塑园区空间格局与游览体验，在时光长河中留下刻度与烙印，塑造三星堆文化的新地标。

The construction of the new Sanxingdui Museum will reshape the spatial pattern and tourist experience of the park and create a new landmark of Sanxingdui.
