近期，2023成都街头篮球全能赛(第二季)上，一支成都高校女子篮球队吸引了观众的注意。她们来自成都航空职业技术学院，由15名平均年龄不到20岁，平均身高1米7的学生组成。

In the recent 2023 Chengdu street basketball all-around competition (season 2), a female basketball team impressed the viewers. The team consists of 15 students with the average age of no more than 20 and the average height of 1.7 meters.

她们来自四川各地，不少人在村镇长大，没有绝对的身高优势，基本没接受过专业的训练，更谈不上职业水平。

They are from Sichuan and some of them grew up in the countryside, without favorable height or professional training.

但就是这样一支并不被看好的球队，却连续两年一路闯进中国大学生体育协会主办的高级别联赛“CUBAL”赛场。从川内的“无名之辈”成为“黑马”，拿下两届四川赛区的亚军。

However, this basketball team won the silver medal twice in Sichuan area of Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBAL).

一种“打不死”的精神

球队教练吴梦月介绍，球队的15名学生大多来自乡镇地区，和强队相比可能会显得有些“草根”，但她们身上有的是一种“打不死”的精神，“不愿意放弃每一次机会”。

According to Wu Mengyue, the coach of the team, most of the team members are from the rural area. Though they are not as professional as other basketball teams, they have strong will and never give up any opportunity.

王蜜是这支球队的队长，出生在泸州的一个乡村，从小就喜欢“拍皮球”。

Wang Mi, the team leader, was born in a village in Luzhou. She has been interested in basketball since she was little.

来到成都以后，王蜜的爱好延续下来。她发现成都篮球氛围浓烈，学校周边四处可见的篮球场以及齐全的设施，都令她赞叹不已。“可能深知自己出生在农村，有这样的机会和平台很不容易，所以很珍惜每一次外出比赛。”

After coming to Chengdu, she didn’t give up her hobby. She was impressed by the numerous basketball fields and well-equipped facilities in Chengdu. "It's not easy for me who grew up in rural area to get the opportunities and platforms. So, I cherish each competition."

不止王蜜，球队的其他队员同样珍惜每一次能上场的机会。

去年12月冬训，因为很快要迎来CUBAL比赛，吴教练加强了训练强度，这也让不少队员崩溃，泪洒训练场。痛哭完之后，残酷的训练并没有结束。2月份，为了比赛，篮球队新一轮训练开始。大年初三，球队迎着寒霜回到学校。

Last December, the coach enforced the training for the CUBAL and some of the team members cried out of the painstaking training. In Spring Festival holiday, the team members came back to school to continue the training.

学校外的万家灯火其乐融融，学校内的队员们则在大汗淋漓中呐喊，每天训练时长达到平均5～6个小时。

The city was in the mood of festival while the team members were practising hard. At that time, they have to practise for 5 to 6 hours per day.

“进步远比冠军本身更重要”

王蜜认为，打篮球必须要有自信。谈及之后的期待，“第一是拼劲全力赢得每一个球，第二是不要受伤。”

Wang Mi believes that confidence is important for basketball. She has two future plans, "to spare no efforts to win each game, and to protect myself from getting injured."

王蜜解释，“不受伤”是为了保护好自己，也是为了更长久“保护”这项热爱，“运动员最好的职业生涯只有几年，受伤了就没办法训练。毕竟只要还能比赛，就有‘赢’的希望。”

Wang explained, "to protect myself from getting injured" is to protect her passion to basketball. "The career for an athlete is short and you’ll not be able to practise if you get injured. As long as there's thecompetition, I have the chance to win."

据悉，除了今年“五一”的成都街头篮球全能赛，队员们还在为另一场拥有多个冠军高校球队参与的大赛做准备。“可能我们赢的机会还是不大，但我们不会放松，进步远比拿冠军更重要，人的一辈子都是在学习的路上。”王蜜说。

Apart from the Chengdu street basketball all-around competition, the team is preparing for another competition with strong opponents. "We may have little chance to win, but we won’t give up. Getting progress is far more important than winning a champion. People is always studying," said Wang Mi.
