Recently, a video of a girl taking her 84-year-old grandpa to travel around China and fulfill 100 wishes has become popular on the internet. The viewers are so touched by her idea and have left their best wishes to them by comments.

小万是来自四川自贡的“95后”女孩，她用视频记录了辞职回到老家陪伴84岁爷爷的点点滴滴。

The protagonist is Xiao Wan, a Gen Z girl from Zigong, Sichuan Province, who has been recording her daily lives after quitting her job to look after her 84-year-old grandpa at home.

由于父母长期在外地务工，小万自幼随爷爷奶奶长大，因此对两位老人的感情很深。

As her parents worked in another city, Xiao Wan has been living with her grandparents since she was little, growing intimate to them.

今年5月的一天，她回自贡探望爷爷，推开门的一瞬间，看到爷爷独自一人坐在沙发上睡着了，心里酸酸的。再想起已去世6年的奶奶，离开时没留下任何照片和影像，她的心里更不是滋味。

In May this year, she paid a visit to her grandpa back to Zigong. When she opened the door, she found that her grandpa was asleep on the sofa without a blanket. Being reminded of her grandma who passed away 6 years ago without a single piece of photo or video, Xiao Wan felt so sorry.

经过再三思考，小万决定辞职回家陪爷爷。开始，父母并不支持小万辞职回家陪爷爷，后来看着小万和爷爷的视频，他们才慢慢地理解了，没有继续劝阻。

She decided to quit her job to come back home and look after her grandpa. He parents disagree with her at the first time, but eventually changed their ideas after watching her videos.

回家陪伴爷爷，爷爷本人也是不同意的，害怕耽误了孙女的个人发展。为此，小万一直跟爷爷说是“调职回到自贡，在家里通过网络工作。”

Not willing to delay granddaughter's career, grandpa is not agreed with Xiao Wan's decision. Therefore, Xiao Wan lied to grandpa that she was transferred to Zigong and work online.

小万给自己的短视频账号取名“万宝日记”，在简介里介绍道：“日常记录，感谢你的关注。辞去外地工作回到家陪伴爷爷，会带他去完成他的100个心愿。不要让错过变成遗憾，记得常回家看看。”

Her short video account's ID is "Wan's Diary". Her introduction says, "it's a daily record. Thank you for following me. I quit my job in another city to look after my grandpa at home. I will help him complete his 100 wishes. Don't forget to visit home."

小万说，曾经，爷爷奶奶共同的愿望就是去一次北京，然而直到奶奶去世也未能实现。所以，今年国庆节前夕，小万带爷爷实现了“去北京”的心愿。在机场候机室，小万偶然看到爷爷放在钱包里的奶奶的照片。经询问，爷爷曾经想带着奶奶一起去北京看看。这让小万百感交集，感动不已。

According to Xiao Wan, grandparents dreamed to have a trip to Beijing. They hadn't made it when Grandma passed away. Therefore, Xiao Wan took grandpa to Beijing in the National Day's holiday. She caught a glimpse of a grandma's photo kept in grandpa's wallet in the airport lounge. She was so touched when learning that grandpa wanted to take grandma together to Beijing.

不想成网红

只想记录“实现爷爷的愿望”

面对突然之间的“走红”，小万感谢网友们对她陪伴爷爷的认可，但自己的本意是不希望“走红”的。

小万说，她陪伴爷爷的主要地点就在自贡当地，也没有想要改变爷爷的生活状态。只是说“爷爷想去哪里，我就尽量地带他去哪里”，爷爷依旧保持着每天早起、公园散步、跳广场舞等习惯。

According to Xiao Wan, they still live and travel around in Zigong as she doesn't want to change grandpa's life. "I take grandpa to wherever he wants to go," said Xiao Wan. Grandpa is stick to his daily routine including getting up early, walking in the park, having the square dance, etc.
