Azerbaijan Trade House - Chengdu Pavilion opened

    On April 25, 2024, the opening ceremony of Azerbaijan Trade House- Chengdu Pavilion was held in Chengdu International Railway Port. Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Bunyad Huseynov attended the event and cut the ribbon.

    Azerbaijan Trade House- Chengdu Pavilion is located in the Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 526 square meters. It consists of five major sections, offers various types of Azerbaijani products to consumers, including red wine, black tea, fruit juice, and jams, etc.

    “I am confident that this kind of activities will make a worthy contribution to the further development of bilateral trade and economic ties in order to fully reap the rewards of economic potential existing between Azerbaijan and China.”Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Bunyad Huseynov said,Azerbaijan is the main trade partner of China in the South Caucasus. The history of China-Azerbaijan relations goes back to the times of the ancient Silk Road. Azerbaijan Trade Houses are playing an important role in promoting Azerbaijani products in China. Azerbaijan Trade House- Chengdu Pavilion will further contribute not only to developing of trade relations, but to strengthening cultural ties as well.

    Full-time Deputy Director of Administrative Bureau of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Chengdu Qingbaijiang Railway Port Area and Director of Chengdu International Railway Port Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee Lei Ting said, the opening of the Azerbaijan Trade House - Chengdu Pavilion creates an immersive and unique consumption scene for the people of Sichuan to enjoy the charm, culture, and high-quality products of Azerbaijan.

    Chengdu International Railway Port is the starting point of the China-EuropeRailway Express (Chengdu), as well as the only comprehensive economic development platform building on a railway port in China that integrates a pilot free trade zone, a national economicand technologicaldevelopment zone, a comprehensive bonded zone, and a national land-port logistics hub. In 2020, Chengdu International Railway Port launched the Chengdu-Eurasia National (Commodity) Pavilion,buildinga distribution center for unique imported commodities, aiming to fully connect Chengdu International Railway Port to the consumption markets in Chengdu, in Sichuan and even across Western China. After years of development, the National(Commodity) Pavilion has successfully attracted 34 national pavilion projects from Europe, Asia, and Oceania, including Nepal, Portugal, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Greece pavilions.
