Wine with Tea | Taikoo Li Chengdu Launches THE GIFT OF TIME Limited-Time Exhibition

On April 16, 2024, Chengdu Taikoo Li's THE GIFT OF TIME limited-time exhibition opened at Temple Plaza and will last until May 5, 2024. During this period, the public will have the opportunity to appreciate Sichuan folk art architecture and taste a selection of limited wines.

Inspired by the theme of "Time," the exhibition visualizes the concept of "brewing and fermentation over time" and features a customized fermentation laboratory where visitors can gain insights into the fermentation process and its temporal transformations. Additionally, the exhibition showcases 9 different sparkling tea wines, each infused with the unique flavors of Sichuan wine and tea, inviting visitors to savor the natural aromas and the essence of time.
Molly Wu,General Manager of Taikoo Li Chengdu, said, “We have taken 'time' as our inspiration for this curated exhibition to express Taikoo Li Chengdu's commitment to Sichuan culture and our hopes for the future through the expressive arts from architectural installations and the fermentation of botanical flavors.”

Sichuan tea and wine boast a rich historical legacy and stand as epitomes of Sichuan's distinctive culture, showcasing its heritage and way of life. As one of the pivotal birthplaces of Chinese tea culture, Sichuan is renowned for its diverse tea varieties, fostering a vibrant tea culture. Similarly, Sichuan wine is celebrated for its mellowness and rich aroma, featuring unique brewing techniques and exquisite craftsmanship.

The Fermentation Laboratory contains 23 fermentation tanks with diverse functions and styles,serving as mechanical brewing system devices tailored for tea and plant fermentation. The 9 distinct sparkling tea wines vary in alcohol strength and flavor profiles, ranging from sweet and refreshing to rich and complex.
During the event, the public can not only get a closer look at the fermentation process in the "Micro Fermentation Display Area", but also experience the fun of hand-printing in the "Customised Wine Label Area".
