On the afternoon of 31 August, the Chengdu-America Air Cargo Corridor Media Exchange and Cargo Market Promotion Conference was held in Chengdu, with the participation of 19 mainstream media representatives from 16 countries in Latin America and the Caribbeancountries. Before the meeting, theyalso visited Shuangliu International Airport Economic Zone.

8月31日下午，成都-美洲空中货运走廊媒体交流会暨货运市场推介会在成都举行，来自拉美和加勒比16国的19位主流媒体代表参加。会前，一行人还参访了双流国际空港经济区。

In recent years, a series of friendly exchanges and co-operation have been carried out between Sichuan and Latin America and Caribbean countries in a number of fields, and significant results have been achieved. In 2022, the total import and export of Latin America reached RMB 37.814 billion, of which the total export amounted to RMB 24.844 billion and the total import amounted to RMB 12.97 billion.

近年来，在四川与拉美及加勒比国家在多个领域开展了系列友好交流与合作，取得了显著成效。2022年，拉丁美洲进出口总额达378.14亿元人民币，其中出口总额248.44亿元人民币，进口总额129.7亿元人民币。

Chengdu has been a hub of communication between China and the world since ancient times, and is the pearl on theSilk Road in southwest China.With the commencement of operations at Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu has become the "third city of dual international airports" in the Chinese mainland, and the capacity of the aviation hub has been greatly enhanced. Liu Xuejun, deputy director of Chengdu port and logistics office, said that Chengdu City has successfully achieved smooth access to the Latin America market through the further extension of international routes such as Brussels, New York, Chicago, Miami, Addis Ababa, etc., and regularised the import of high-quality fresh products from South America such as salmon and cherries, which has greatly facilitated the construction of Chengdu's international consumption centerand the creation of an international aviation hub.

成都自古就是中外交流的枢纽，是西南丝绸之路上的明珠。随着天府国际机场建成投运，成都成为中国大陆“双国际机场第三城”，航空枢纽保障能力大幅提升。成都市口岸与物流办公室副主任刘学军在会上表示，成都市通过布鲁塞尔、纽约、芝加哥、迈阿密、亚的斯亚贝巴等国际航线的进一步延伸，成功实现与拉美市场的顺利通达，实现三文鱼、车厘子等南美优质生鲜产品的常态化进口，极大促进了成都市国际消费中心城市建设与国际航空枢纽打造。

Ranielly Rodrigues Veloso, a journalist from Brazil, said that the importance of trade between China and Brazil cannot be overstated. It is learnt that the Chengdu-São Paulo route has been opened twice a week now. Brazil imports a lot of electronic products from China and China uses this route to import Latin American fruits, red wine, salmon and other special products. The Chengdu-São Paulo route reflects the vibrancy of trade between China and Latin America.

来自巴西的记者拉妮利·罗德里格斯·维罗索表示，中巴两国贸易的重要性不言而喻。据了解，现在已开通每周两班成都—圣保罗航线。巴西从中国进口大量电子产品。中国借此航线进口拉美水果、红酒、三文鱼等特色产品。成都—圣保罗航线体现了中拉贸易的活跃。

On the morning of 1st September, the group of Latin America media representatives came to SICC (Sichuan International Communication Center ) to communicate with Sichuan journalists. The atmosphere was very active, with applause and laughter. Members of the media group and journalists of SICC talked about sports, tourism, food, panda and other topics. Many members of the Latin America media delegation said that Sichuan has more than just pandas and Sichuan cuisine, and hoped that they could have more chances to experience and feel the splendid culture of Sichuan.

9月1日上午，拉美媒体代表一行来到四川国际传播中心与四川的记者进行交流。现场气氛十分活跃，掌声与欢笑声不断。拉美媒体团成员和四川国际传播中心记者就体育运动、旅游、美食、熊猫等话题进行畅谈。交流中，许多拉美媒体团成员表示，原来四川不止有熊猫和川菜，希望可以有更多机会去体验和感受四川丰富灿烂的文化。
