“锦城丝管日纷纷，半入江风半入云。”一千多年前，流寓成都的杜甫听到蜀地的丝竹之声时写下这首诗，说明早在唐代，天府之国的急管繁弦之音就已绕梁不绝了。

‘Melodious and soft tunes are sung on the rivers while flowingover the clouds of the city of Chengdu.’More than a thousand years ago, Du Fu, who lived in Chengdu, wrote this poem when he heard the music in southwest regions of China, which showedthat as early as thetime of theTang Dynasty, the sound of manyinstruments playing simultaneously in the Land of Abundance has been memorable.

经过千年的岁月浮沉，当年宫廷宴乐的繁华场景已经难觅踪迹。可如今，当人们走进成都永陵博物馆的王建墓中，雕刻在棺床壶门之内的“二十四伎乐”仿佛定格了时光，将晚唐五代歌舞升平的场面穿越时空呈现在人们的眼中。

After a long period of standing still,it’s been hard to trace back to the histories we want to learn about. But,now, when people visit the Royal Tomb of Wang Jian at theChengdu Yongling Museum, the ‘twenty-four female musicians and dancers’carved in the kunmen and coffin platform seems to be frozenat just that moment, vividly presenting the peaceful scenarios during the period of Five Dynasties in the Late Tang Dynasty for people without limitations of time and space.

作为迄今为止考古发现的唯一完整反映唐代及前蜀宫廷乐队的文物遗存，“二十四伎乐”在石棺浮雕上寂静地走过了漫漫岁月。直至2019年，消失了千年的音乐得以重现于世。二十四伎乐以剧目的方式“复活”，向世人展示亮丽恢宏的大唐音乐。与此同时，一支从“二十四伎乐”石刻中苏醒的中国女子乐团诞生，用古老的音乐和现代科技交融，让沉睡千年的文物“活起来”。

As the only unearthed relic to show us a complete royal band during the time of the Tang Dynasty and the Former Shu (907-925), the ‘twenty-four carved figures of female musicians and dancers’passed the years,thus, frozen in place and in time, until 2019 whentheir musical accompaniment that had been lost for a thousand years was brought back to life.The twenty-four female musicians and dancers were ‘resurrected’in the form of dramas, showcasing the bright and magnificent music of the Tang Dynasty to the world.At the same time, a Chinese female orchestra, namely an excavation of the so-called‘twenty-four carved figures of female musicians and dancers’was created, making the historical relic buried underground for a thousand years ‘rebirth’—a blending of ancient music and modern technology.
