在泸州市龙马潭区鱼塘街道枣林园社区，69岁的蒋远书只要有时间，就会做手工棉鞋。从2019年至今，老人手工做的400多双棉鞋已经先后送给当地6个街镇的养老院。蒋远书的心愿，是让更多的老人冬天暖和一些。

In Longmatan District, Luzhou City, 69-year-old Jiang Yuanshu makes handmade cotton shoes whenever she has time. From 2019 to the present, she has made over 400 pairs of handmade cotton shoes and has donated them to six local nursing homes in different townships. Her wish is to keep more elderly people warm in winter.

说起做鞋的初衷，蒋远书回忆，2019年，她去家附近的养老院参加活动，寒冷的冬天里蒋远书当时就琢磨为困难老人做点什么。

Recalling the initial intention of making shoes, Jiang Yuanshuremembers that in 2019, she participated in an activity at a nearby nursing home. In the cold winter, the elderly people were wearing worn-out shoes, which made Jiang Yuanshufeel particularly distressed. At that time, she started thinking about doing something for poor elderly people.

“从养老院出来，我马上就买了做鞋材料，做了几十双送给他们。”从那时起，蒋远书就开启了送鞋的爱心公益之路。

"As soon as I left the nursing home, I immediately bought materials for making shoes and made dozens of pairs to give to them." Since then, Jiang Yuanshuhas embarked on the path of giving shoes as an act of kindness.

蒋远书的儿子蒋正均说，4年多来，母亲几乎成了“鞋痴”。不论春夏秋冬，只要有时间就做鞋。“起初我不理解，但这么多年下来，看到她这么专注，从做鞋中获得了巨大的快乐，我们都全力支持她。”

Jiang Zhengjun, Jiang Yuanshu's son, said that over the past four years, his mother has become almost obsessed with making shoes. Regardless of the season, she makes shoes whenever she has time. "At first, I didn't understand, but after all these years, seeing her dedication and the immense joy she derives from making shoes, we fully support her."

2019年，蒋远书手工缝制60双棉拖鞋送到特兴养老院。2020年，她又制作了70双棉拖鞋送给双加养老院的老人，2021年，送给安宁养老院50双，去年又将70双棉鞋送到金龙养老院的老人们手中……4年来，她做的鞋已经送及龙马潭6个街镇的养老院。

In 2019, Jiang Yuanshuhand-sewed 60 pairs of cotton slippers and donated them to the Texing Nursing Home. In 2020, she made another 70 pairs of cotton slippers and gave them to the elderly at Shuangjia Nursing Home. In 2021, she donated 50 pairs to the Anning Nursing Home, and last year, she delivered 70 pairs of cotton shoes to the elderly at Jinlong Nursing Home. Over the past four years, she has sent her shoes to nursing homes in six townships in Longmatan.

“应该送了有400多双了，我的目标是要让11个街镇敬老院的困难老人，都穿上我做的棉鞋！”蒋远书说。

"I must have donated over 400 pairs. My goal is to have all the impoverished elderly in the 11 townships' nursing homes wear the cotton shoes I make!" Jiang Yuanshusaid.

蒋远书回忆，2012年，自己突发疾病，医院2次下达病危通知书。周围邻居们都来家里帮忙照顾，而且四处帮忙求医找药，一段时间后，身体居然慢慢地恢复了。

Jiang Yuanshurecalls that in 2012, she fell seriously ill and received two critical condition notices from the hospital. Neighbors came to help take care of her and sought medical help and medication everywhere. After a while, she gradually recovered.

这一次“濒死体验”，让蒋远书懂得了生命的意义，也更加珍惜人与人之间的情谊。

This "near-death experience" made Jiang Yuanshu understand the meaning of life and cherish the bonds between people even more.

“现在我做棉鞋的事情传开了，大家出钱出物，都很支持我做鞋。”蒋远书笑着说，现在，这个爱心团队已经有好几人了，其中不乏八九十岁的老人，大家有的捐钱，有的买线团，还有人把自己家里全新的做鞋工具送给她。

"Now that the word has spread about my cotton shoe-making, everyone contributes money and materials, and they fully support me in making shoes." Jiang Yuanshusmiled and said that now there are several people in this compassionate team, including some in their eighties and nineties. Some donate money, some buy thread in bulk, and there are even those who give her their brand-new shoe-making tools.

“我妈常说，做好事并不难，难的是做一辈子的好事。从她身上，我们也学会了怎样做人。”蒋正均说。

"My mother often says that doing good deeds is not difficult, but what's difficult is doing good deeds for a lifetime. From her, we have also learned how to be good people," Jiang Zhengjun said.
