More than 2000 years ago, Zhang Qian of the Western Han Dynasty discovered the horse called "Akhal-Teke" in his hometown.More than 1000 years ago, Xuanzang, a monk of the Tang Dynasty, visited his hometown.

In March 2023, he visited Sichuan with histeam who spoke fluent Chinese.

2020年7月，四川明宇商旅股份有限公司获得“撒马尔罕游客中心”两家酒店的经营管理权。四川省属国企东方电气集团有限公司自2017年以来，在乌兹别克斯坦签约6个水电站、2个太阳能发电站等清洁能源项目。中央在川企业中国化学工程第七建设有限公司与乌兹别克斯坦化工企业集团公司签署了超551.4亿元人民币的化工项目。

In July 2020, Minyoun Hospitality (Chengdu) Corporation Ltd awarded the management rights of 2 hotels in "The Samarkand Visitor Center." Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited has signed 6 hydropower plants, 2 solar power plants, and other clean energy projects in Uzbekistan since 2017. China National Chemical Engineering No.7 Construction Co.,Ltd. in Sichuan has signed contracts with Uzbekistan Chemical Enterprise Group for over 55.14 billion RMB in chemical projects.

随着“一带一路”建设的深入推进，川乌已经在农业发展、人文交流、酒店经营、清洁能源、基础设施建设等多个方面开展了务实合作与交流。合作事例不胜枚举。

With the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in progress, Sichuan and Uzbekistan have carried out practical cooperation and exchanges in many areas, such as agricultural development, humanities exchanges, hotel operations, clean energy, and infrastructure construction. 2023年4月12日，四川首批通过中亚铁路进口的乌兹别克斯坦绿豆运抵成都，打通中亚粮食进口新通道。

On April 12, 2023, the first batch of mung beans from Uzbekistan imported through Central Asia Railway arrived in Chengdu, Sichuan, opening a new channel for grain import from Central Asia.

全省共有乌兹别克斯坦籍在册留学生148人。

There are 148 registered international students of Uzbekistan in Sichuan province.

2020年1月，四川开通成都至乌兹别克斯坦首都塔什干直航，极大地促进了双方人员往来和经贸合作。2023年3月27日，该直航正式复航，5小时可达塔什干。

In January 2020, Sichuan launched direct flights between Chengdu and Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, which greatly promoted the exchange of people and economic trade between the two places.

On March 27, 2023, the direct flight will be resumed. The travel time is only about 5 hours.

“此次复航有助于发展一条‘空中丝绸之路’。”阿尔济耶夫对此信心满满。“复航之后，双方之间的经贸往来和旅游都更加方便。物理距离的缩短必将让我们的联系更加紧密。”

"This resumption of flights will help develop an 'Air Silk Road.'" Arziev said, " After the resumption of flights, trade exchanges and tourism between the two countries will be more convenient. The shortening of physical distance will certainly bring us closer together."

“我们非常愿意在‘一带一路’合作框架内与四川加强各领域合作。”阿尔济耶夫十分看好川乌的未来合作前景。“与四川省的合作，能源领域是我们优先考虑的方向。”今年2月，乌兹别克斯坦能源部部长茹拉别克·米尔扎马赫穆多夫率领的代表团访问了中国，当时也特别来到了四川，在能源领域签署了很多协议。现在乌兹别克斯坦对新能源、可再生能源领域非常重视，四川省的企业在这一领域也具有巨大的潜力。

"We are very willing to strengthen cooperation with Sichuan in various fields within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)." Arziev is very optimistic about the future cooperation between Sichuan and Uzbekistan. "Cooperation with Sichuan province, the energy area is our priority." In February this year, a delegation led by Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, Uzbekistan's energy minister, visited China and signed many agreements in the energy field in Sichuan. Nowadays, Uzbekistan attaches great importance to new and renewable energy. Enterprises in Sichuan Province have great potential in this field as well.

此外，阿尔济耶夫还特别提到，乌兹别克斯坦是内陆国，四川是内陆省，“四川在航空、铁路及物流等领域的成绩，非常值得我们学习借鉴，希望能加强与四川在内陆港建设领域的合作与交流。”

In addition, Arziev made special mention of the fact that Uzbekistan is a landlocked country, and Sichuan is a landlocked province as well. "Sichuan's achievements in many fieldssuch asaviation, railroad, and logistics are very worthy to learn. We hope to strengthen cooperation and exchange with Sichuan in inland port construction."

采访结束之后，阿尔济耶夫还向四川人发出了热情的邀请。“乌兹别克斯坦人民就跟你们一样朴实豪爽，热情好客。我相信到了乌兹别克斯坦之后，你们一定会有回家的感觉！”
