Mianning County in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture: Over 30,000 mu of olive forest
In April in Mianning County, endless oil olive groves sway in the wind and the olive town on the banks of the Anning River looks vibrant.
This olive town is located in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province and currently cultivates an area of more than 30,000 mu of oil olive, covering 5 towns: Hongmo, Shilong, Lugu, Hebian and Manshuiwan. It now produces 150 tonnes of oil, with an annual oil production of more than 800 tonnes and an annual output value of more than 350 million yuan after a bumper crop.
Anning River Valley area in Mianning County is 1600-1700m above sea level, with long light hours and large temperature differences between day and night, making it suitable for oil olive growth.Since 2012, Mianning County has built the local Modern Forestry Park for Oil Olives through 10 years' efforts. The Park has introduced the most advanced dwarf dense planting and yielding technology at home and abroad, adopted the leading Israeli fertilization technology and Italian environmental protection oil extraction process, and the extra virgin olive oil produced has won the gold medal in the world's largest olive oil competition - Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition.
The village of Qietuo is filled with the scent of tea, and Yi women are busy picking tea
The sun is shining on the tea trees in Qietuo Village, Xide County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and the leaves are shiny. A group of Yi women carrying bamboo baskets walk through the tea forest, picking tea leaves.
The village has a total population of 2,723 people and an area of 23.33 square kilometres, with an overall high south and low north terrain and a combination of high mountains and valleys at an altitude of 1,850 to 2,400 m. Since 2018, 1,240 mu of tea trees have been planted on a large scale here.
In recent years, relying on the advantages of the local ecological industry and humanities, and through industrial implantation, environmental enhancement, field renovation and facility improvement, the village has been filled with the fragrance of rice, tea and fruit.
40,000 apple trees grow at the Lianghekou Town in Xide County
This modern breeding cycle industrial park is located in Lianghekou Town, Xide County, and is planned and designed according to the principles of environmental protection, efficiency, economy and science. It is divided into living and office area, pig production area and manure treatment area, and the planting area in the field covers a total area of 90.59 mu, with an annual stock of 15,000 pigs and an annual slaughter of 30,000 pigs.
The plantation cycle industrial park used 559 mu of transferred land to plant more than 40,000 apple trees, and this year, patches of apple forests began to bloom one after another.
