Loquats, cherries, mulberries... On April 6, passengers on the C43 train from Chengdu to South Panzhihua felt like they were in a "moving orchard." The activity "Train to Spring-- Enjoy Beautiful Countryside Along the New Chengdu-Kunming Railway" was officially launched.

Since the opening of the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway line on December 26, 2022, it has been in operation for 100 days by April 4. The total number of passengers transported by the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway trains has exceeded 6 million, with an average daily number of 60,000. The running time of the new railway line is about 12 hours shorter than that of the old Chengdu-Kunming Railway, and the fastest running time between Chengdu and Xichang and Panzhihua is 3 hours and 5 hours respectively. South Ganluo, Yuexi and other new stations have greatly met the travel demand of local passengers.

The "Train to Spring" was decorated with photos showing different scenery for each compartment. The exquisite decorations in the compartment presented the local characteristics along the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway route, including various kinds of agricultural products such as loquat (from Miyi County) and pomegranate (from Huili County), as well as eco-tourism projects such as rural sightseeing and exploring the mysterious fireflies in Qingshen County. Photos of enjoying the scenery of stunning flowers in spring, staying cool in sultry summer, tasting fruits in autumn and bathing in warm sunshine in winter were all included in the train. The season of picking loquats, cherries and mulberries along the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway is coming. Passengers on the train C43 tasted the fresh cherries, loquats and strawberries, and experienced the pleasure of this spring trip. In this season full of hope, more than 20 pairs of Fuxing bullet trains pass the field every day to bring vitality and opportunities.

At Yuexi Station on the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway, the Fuxing bullet train passes through an apple orchard covering a thousand mu. "The first batch of bullet train tourists arrived this spring after the opening of the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway. We have also planned a lot of agricultural tourism programs, which will attract more tourists when the apples are ripe in July." In the agriculture industrial parks (apples) of Yuexi County, the working staff had a lot of things to say about the dividends brought by the opening of the new Chengdu-Kunming Railway, showing sufficient confidence in its future prospects.
