The first session of the 14th Sichuan Provincial People's Congressopened on Jan.11, 2023. The director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu (CDETO) and ten consul generals and consuls in Chengdu attended the meeting.

"As the report says, people in Chengdu can appreciate the beautiful Xiling snow mountain and Chengdu has been honored as the ‘park city at the foot of snow mountain’, I'm quite agree with that,"said Günther Lazelsberger, the Consul General of Austria in Chengdu, after reading the report. In his point of view, Chengdu has been doing well in the environmental protection and city construction. "I think Sichuan and Austria can cooperate well in terms of tourism and culture, and I will suggest my friends to travel in Chengdu. I will try my best to promote the communication between Sichuan and Austria in my term."

Grzegorz Morawski, the Consul General of Poland in Chengdu, said, "Sichuan, which has been honored as a land of abundance, is at the leading position in west China in terms of economic growth. It's also an important part of the Belt and Road initiative. There're great opportunities for Poland."

Sichuan has built good relationships with the world. Presently, there are 23 consulates in Sichuan and 440 international friendship cities of Sichuan in the world.

"Greece and Sichuan are both popular travelling destinations. They can cooperate well in culture and tourism. I will try to promote the communication between Greece and Sichuan in tourism,"said Leon, the executive chief of Chinese Union in Greece.

Yang Tengbo, the chairman of UK China Entrepreneur Association has been paying attention to the construction of Chengdu-chongqing economic circle. "International communication is indispensable for the sustainable development of technology. In 2016, we introduced an international innovation incubation platform from Britain to China through which we supported over 70,000 Chinese technological innovative projects, 126 of which has been deeply supported. Next, we will further promote the high-quality development of technology in Sichuan and Chongqing based on it,"said Yang.
