The 2022 Sichuan Culture and Tourism Development Conference will be held in Nanchong City on November 10, with the Nanchong’s Langzhong city as the main venue, and sub venues will be set up in every other city through online meeting, according to the press conference of 2022 Sichuan Culture and Tourism Development Conference & the eighth China (Sichuan) International Tourism Investment Conference. In addition, the opening ceremony of the eighth China (Sichuan) International Tourism Investment Conference will be held in Langzhong at the same time.

The 2022 Sichuan Culture and Tourism Development Conference aims to promote cultural self-confidence and mutual development of culture & tourism, which will vigorously advance Sichuan's cultural undertakings, industries and tourism, and accelerate the construction of a strong cultural tourism province and make Sichuan the important tourism destination in the world.

A number of international tourism agencies, famous oversea airlines and travel agents have been invited to participate in this conference, in which the world's leading travel agents will promote "Comfortable Sichuan" and make a global live broadcast. This event will help to show a credible, lovely, respectable image of China, and make Sichuan culture and tourism well-known globally. It is noteworthy that the fourth batch of Tianfu tourism counties, the second batch of Tianfu tourism brands, and the third batch of Sichuan cultural tourism leading enterprises will also be officially announced and awarded in the conference.

5 special exhibitions focusing on Sichuan’s culture and tourism, cultural and tourism investment, leading enterprises and food will be held on the conference. The key investment projects and the “Song of Yading”, an original ecological music album themed “Beautiful Sichuan”, will be initiated along with the forum of Jialing River cultural tourism scenic road construction.

Langzhong, the main venue of the conference, is one of the four most well-preserved ancient towns in China. Located in the middle reaches of Jialing River, Langzhong is the hometown of imperial examination culture, geomancy culture, and Spring Festival culture. Luo Xiahong, a local who created Taichu calendar to decide the first day of the first lunar month as the beginning of the year, is known as “the old man of the Spring Festival”. And the Spring Festival has become a traditional Chinese festival since then.
