Located in Halama village, Anqu Town, Hongyuan County, neighboring the G248 national highway and 5 kilometers away from the county and 40 kilometers away from the Hongyuan airport, the Moon Bay is a part of Gaqu River, an important upstream headwater of the Yellow River. Meandering in the shape of “S” on the extensive grassland, it looks like a new moon and that’s the reason why it’s called the Moon Bay.

The Moon Bay scenic area centers on grassland, flowers, rivers, moon and sky, and has a weak ecology. The local government focused on the natural nomadic life and tourism, exploring cultural tourism under the premise of environment protection.
