Jiajinshan National Forest Park: The Challenging Natural Barrier

    Jiajinshan National Forest Park is next to the Mount Siguniang, covering 88332.10 hectares, including two primeval ecoregions: Jiajinshan and Muerzhai Valley. There are mainly broadleaved deciduous forests and evergreen conifer forests, reaching 88.5% of forest coverage.

    Lying on the west of Sichuan and the transitional zone to West Sichuan Plateau, Jiajinshan National Forest Park is a main part of Western Sichuan Plateau. The park is oriented South and North, featured with mountains and gorge, containing ridges, peaks, rivers and valley. Its landform is characterized by mainly high mountains and few extra-high mountains, Mala Valley, derived from the northeast part of the park, is the main source of Qingyijiang River.
